Of A Morning is the third full length album from this Western Washington state quartet. This
self-proclaimed “Southern-Rock / Power Pop” band mixes the southern rock stylings
of Allman Brothers or Neil Young with the quirky power pop sensibility of bands like Big Star
or Joe Walsh’s Barnstorm. Lyrically the album explores the inner workings of the band’s main songwriter by using childhood situations and memories as metaphors for the pilgrimage of getting older. Lots of old reflecting on young and vice versa.
Of A Morning will be released on vinyl and Cd on the bands own label, Music Abuse Records. Very limited initial runs of 200 black vinyl and 100 compact discs will be available June 2nd 2023. Streaming services such as Spotify, Apple Music, Youtube and Bandcamp will also premier that day.

BIO:
Hot Spring Water was formed in 2011 in Port Orchard Washington as a side project with members of the bands Mos Generator, Stone Axe and Sower. “We were working on songs for what we were hoping to become a Country-Rock Stone Axe record in a style of early seventies artists like Neil Young, Leon Russell and Graham Nash. Quite a few jams were recorded and edited into the songs that was eventually released in 2019 as Hot Spring Water #1. Many of the songs pay tribute to and make references to the times and places of my youth. It’s like a time machine every time I perform these songs and reminds me of a childhood I wouldn’t trade for anything.”
In March 2019, after returning to the project, we decided to start rehearsing for some live gigs. Bo Mcconaghie was added on guitar and we started working on the live interpretations of the songs we had already recorded. Since then we’ve spent our time writing, recording and playing out live in the Western Washington Area. - Reed April 2023
